So, I did: I healed my body of secondary infertility caused by pelvic infection. The pelvic infection was caused by an IUD. Having a diagnosis after a year of being ill was welcome. However, an excellent group of physicians explained that the diagnosis came with no guarantee of a successful resolution through surgical intervention.
Broken-hearted, I took the medication for a rare piggy-backing fungal infection that was shutting down my kidneys. Forced to quit my job as a dental assistant. I could barely care for my young son and did not have the energy to care for hearth, home or husband.
My body knew what it needed, and it led me into what I later learned was the practice of meditation and inner contemplation.

Faithfully following this inward, energetic journey, my kidneys recovered. Three years later, with no complications I conceived and delivered a second very healthy and a happy baby boy. Two years later, this second precious, loving, wicked smart, healthy and happy child developed Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis literally over the course of a week.
I fully accepted the challenge at hand: my heart task was to support my son's finding his healing path. I dove in and learned about consciously supplemental nutrition. I ground up vitamins, mixed them with applesauce. and spoon fed this to my child. I used a cow hand puppet to make this daily ritual fun. Unexpectedly, an audible inner authority shared the 6th Law of Chinese Cure: 'The skin is an organ of elimination.'
I threw away a tube of prescribed cortisol cream and opted for cornstarch to sooth a small patch of eczema on my son's knee. After that skin disturbance cleared, he never had another symptom of arthritis. He has had no recurrence and he's now a grown man.
Our bodies just knew. I listened to him. He trusted me. Eventually, after being released from a harrowing week in the hospital, I observed a relationship to my child's drinking cow's milk and fever, pain, and swollen joint symptoms. Dairy products were immediately and completely eliminated from my son's diet. Four months later, this stunning little human being was declared free of disease by his attending rheumatologist.
The 12-aspirin-aday regimen prescribed to control his pain and fevers was no longer needed.
A few years later, during a Mommy Only weekend retreat, an energy that turned out to be the woman I am today catapulted me out of a comfortable, flawed, confined existence into the fires of causality; inner heat, unlimited stores of energy, hands-on healing that generated biochemical change and spiritual transformation.
The body knows. The body will tell you if you listen. The body that you see in the mirror can show you what is unseen. The you who always lives in the now. If you will only put aside your mind and its limitations to have a good, long look at your true being. Every living body holds a precious and unique set of 'now this' keys.
