According to the report, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur in the U.S. each year, and more than 35,000 people die as a result. In addition, 223,900 cases of Clostridioides difficile occurred in 2017 and at least 12,800 people died.
Additionally, according to a collaborative CDC study, the estimated national cost to treat infections caused by six multi-drug-resistant germs identified in the report and frequently found in health care is substantial — more than $4.6 billion annually.
Dedicated prevention and infection control efforts in the U.S. reduced deaths from antibiotic-resistant infections by 18% overall and by nearly 30% in hospitals. However, the number of people facing antibiotic resistance is still too high. More action is needed to fully protect people.
The CDC is concerned about rising resistant infections which put more people at risk, make organism spread more difficult to identify and contain, and threatens progress to protect patient care.
The emergence and spread of new forms of resistance remains a concern.

This CDC report also includes a Watch List with three threats that have not spread resistance widely in the U.S. but could become common without a continued aggressive approach.

Being forty years old and having the world open before you through astonishing synchronicities and access to international medical facilities when the only qualification you hold is an Emergency Medical Technician certification.
In 1991,1992, and 1993, I was welcomed as a solo practitioner into hospitals in Moscow, Russia jus as the Soviet Union was collapsing and, with it, It's health care system. Doctors and nurses weren't being paid and they were desperate to find ways to care for their patients. Morphine was only administered to burn victims who would not survive their injuries.
Desperation does lead to being forced to accept new paradigms. I showed up as a new energy healing paradigm willing to volunteer and to share my knowledge and gift.
In 2020, the United States experienced a similar health care crisis. it's 2021. Americans are jobless, homeless, and unable to afford health care. Our society is being lovingly pushed into giving birth to totally new paradigms.
Sergei
A young workman named Sergei suffered third degree burns of both hands in an industrial accident. Sergei was also a brittle diabetic.
My unique techniques made it possible for Sergei's to go through the agonizing procedure of debridement pain-free. I was astonished when the Director of the burn ward told me that Sergei hadn't been medicated for the that procedure. Narcotics were reserved for palliative care of patients who wouldn't survive their burns.
I taught Sergei the methods I used to heal the scar tissue in my body that was the result of my illness as a young mother. Serge's hands healed completely with full function, requiring no skin grafts and he returned to work.
Mr. Miranov
Mr. Miranov had accidentally fallen into a fire pit. His right leg was burned down to the bare bone from below his knee to just above his ankle.
